About this course

This course is being developed for the entire technical community by the LSU Macromolecular Studies Group as part of its commitment to the NSF-IGERT award, Teaching Craft for Macromolecular Creativity.  MSG believes in integrative teaching; this course is designed to be effective when taught in conjunction with an active research program, lecture and lab/demo courses and seminars.  It is taught in the summer and is appropriate for beginning graduate students and summer research interns equally.

Grading:  25% on attendance, 25% on participation, 25% on assigned problem sets and 25% on a project (may be written, team report/presentation, etc.).

Faculty:  STSC is a team-taught course.  One professor is declared the professor of record, who coordinates the other faculty participants and, often, visitors.
